I've GOT to rant about the following movie:

"Divine Intervention"

This one really jerked my chain!!!!! It's supposed to be a "funny, upbeat spiritual journey about romance, religion, and scandal that will succeed with the ever popular and abundant urban churchgoing audience, and general viewers will embrace it for its warmth, humor, and controversy."

Oy vey.

I was going to turn it off when it used very irreverant language, but I decided to watch it because some of it does hit home about how religion--not TRUE Christianity which IS lacking in this world!!!--can be fake, unbending, or just as sinful as the world. I wholy realize that the Church has distorted the real vision of Christ.

HOWEVER, I hit the roof when the "deacon" actually fully took Jesus' name in vain to express exasperation.

I can't really fault the makers of this movie because truly, there are so many fake "Christians" that are hurting the cause of Christ--been guilty of it plenty myself. But, if there is anyone who is truly trying to follow Christ, and they want to watch a good, funny movie, THIS IS NOT THE ONE TO RENT!!!

We DO need to CHANGE ASAP and get our acts together and be the salt and light that He has called us to be.

To Start

This is simply a blog/list of movies or books that overtly blaspheme God and His Son. It's quite disheartening to just start to get interested in a movie or book, and then have it ruined by the use of Our Lord's Name in vain.

The list is in no way complete, it is simply a compilation of those that I have come across. I wish to record them so that I have a list of those titles I do not wish to revisit.
